Meet Kayla
Licensed Mental Health Therapist & Practice Owner
I'm so glad you're here!
If you’re reading this, you might be wondering if working with a therapist could actually feel helpful, especially if talking about your feelings feels hard or you could think of a list of things you'd rather do. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t quite fit. All of those parts of you are welcome here.
Some people show up feeling like they should have it together but inside they’re overwhelmed, overthinking, or just worn out. Others hate talking about emotions or feel like they don't have the right words or even know what they are feeling in the first place. That’s okay.
My work is about helping you notice what’s going on for you, slowing things down, and finding ways forward that fit your life and pace.
My Training & Credentials
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State.
My training includes Level I training through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), EMDR training, and work informed by somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Finding Solid Ground program.
I hold additional training in working with dissociation, particularly as it shows up in everyday life — feeling disconnected, spaced out, overwhelmed, or “not quite here,” even when things look fine on the outside.
Rather than relying on a single method, I utilize an integrated, trauma-informed approach, adapting the work to what you need in the moment. Some sessions may focus on building grounding and stability, others on understanding patterns or responses that developed over time, and others on gently exploring parts of you that learned to cope in specific ways.
The goal isn’t to fit you into a model or a box, it’s to work in a way that feels steady, respectful, and usable in your real life.
I am here to help
Therapy doesn’t have to feel like guesswork.
If you’re curious whether this approach might align with what you need, I offer a brief, no-pressure consultation where we can talk about your concerns and decide together if working together feels right.
